MOGADISHU, May 5 (MENA) - Somali President Mohamed Farmaajo lauded Somali-Egyptian relations, asserting the importance of the historical ties binding both countries.

This came during Farmajoo's reception of Egyptian Deputy Foreign Minister for African Affairs Hamdi Sanad Loza at the beginning of his current visit to Mogadishu.

Loza's visit to Somailia comes as of part of his tour in the Horn of Africa which also includes Kenya.

Egypt is keen on following up the latest developments in East Africa and the Horn of Africa in light of its presidency of the African Union in addition to boosting cooperation at the bilateral level at the different domains.
