Egypt sorry over South Asia, Afghanistan floods

CAIRO - 18 April 2019: Egypt expressed its heartfelt condolences over the victims of the flash floods that hit Pakistan, India and Afghanistan.

In a statement, the Foreign Ministry expressed condolences with the families of the victims, wishing a speedy recovery to all wounded.

The ministry expressed Egypt's support for India, Pakistan and Afghanistan in this ordeal.

The slow-moving storm, which has triggered damaging thunderstorms, blinding dust storms and flooding downpours, has claimed at least 39 lives in Pakistan, 47 in India and 15 in Afghanistan.
