Unstable weather hits Egypt Saturday

CAIRO - 29 March 2019: Unstable weather to hit Egypt on Saturday, announced the Egyptian Metrological Authority in a statement on Friday.

Tense low clouds gather over the northern coastal cities and Cairo, with the possibility of rain falling.

Winds with dust will be active all over the country, metrological experts said, warning of turning it into a dust storm over the southern and eastern parts of the country.

Meanwhile, the Red Sea Port Authority announced the closure of Nuweibaa Port due to bad weather as wind speed reached 25 kts. All security and safety measures were taken in outlets and inlets of the authority’s ports.

Temperatures are as follows:

Cairo: 16 - 20 °C
Alexandria: 13 - 18 °C
Mersa Matruh: 12 - 18 °C
Sohag: 15- 22 °C
Qena: 16 – 23 °C
Aswan: 17 – 26 °C

Early march, unstable weather with a slight decline in temperature and speed dust hit Egypt. Thunder and lightning hit Cairo, accompanied by heavy rains in some coastal cities, Qalyubia and Kafr El-Sheikh (Delta).
