CAIRO - 12 March 2019: Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) has warned of a sharp drop in temperature by 7 degrees Celsius, accompanied with dust storm on northern coasts and Lower Egypt.

Cairo has seen a rise in temperature degrees over the past days, recording highs of 26 °C on Sunday and Monday, and 28 °C on Tuesday.

The head of EMA, Ahmed Abdel Aal, said in press statements Tuesday that rainfall is expected, especially in northern parts, and might reach Cairo.

Abdel Aal also advised citizens to wear thick clothes during the coming hours.
