CAIRO – 7 March 2019: The Egyptian Organization for Human Rights (EOHR) will hold a seminar on terrorism and human rights in Egypt in Geneva, according to a statement from the EOHR on Thursday.

The seminar will convene on the sidelines of the 40th session of the United Nations Human Rights Council in Geneva.

In his speech at the 40th session of the UNHR, EOHR Head Hafez Abu Saada discussed the impact of terrorism and extremist thoughts on the freedom of religion in the Middle East.

CAIRO - 6 March 2019: The President of the Egyptian Organization for Human Rights (EOHR) discussed the impact of terrorism and extremist thoughts on the freedom of religion in the Middle East during his speech on Tuesday on the sidelines of the Human Rights Council 40 th session in Geneva.





A human rights delegation comprised of two NGOs participated in ‎the 40th session of the Human Rights Council (UNHRC) in Geneva that has launched on February 27, and runs‎ until March 24.

President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi stressed in all his speeches addressing the national and international ‎public opinion that fighting terrorism is a human right that needs to be protected. During the launch of ‎the first World Youth Forum (WYF) in Sharm El-Sheikh in 2017, Sisi warned about the danger posed by ‎terrorists who spread extreme ideologies that call for nothing but violence and destruction, jeopardizing ‎international peace and security.‎
