Cairo – 6 May 2017: Nayef Al-Asaker, a Saudi writer and researcher specialized in Islamist groups said in statements reported by Al- Shorouk on Monday that there is no chance now for any kind of political talks with Qatar.

He added that Qatar’s policy proved more than once its full support for terrorists groups in the region, especially the Muslim Brotherhood, Al-Qaeda and the Islamic State.

Al-Asaker said that Qatar became a direct threat to Arab countries, and described the decision to cut diplomatic ties with Qatar as the first serious step taken against terrorism.
On Monday morning, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Libya and Yemen decided to cut all diplomatic ties with Qatar for its ‘continuous support for terrorism’, closing their airspace and seaports for Qatari vessels.

Egypt and the Gulf States have given Qatari diplomatic missions 48 hours to leave their countries.

Al-Asaker said in his statements that he expects the Qatari people will not accept their government’s political choices, which have resulted in a political and economic siege.
