CAIRO, Feb 11 (MENA) - Prime Minister Moustafa Madboli stressed on Monday that Egypt is keen on harnessing its potential in order to push forward the wheel of African joint action for better prospects and broader horizons.

Egypt looks forward to leading the march of sustainable development in the continent with its effective expertise and balanced vision, a matter which will enhance the Egyptian pivotal role in Africa, he noted.

During his speech given on behalf of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi at the inaugural ceremony of EGYPS 2019, Madboli said that the Egyptian government works on promoting cooperation with world countries in order to achieve development in the economic and investment sectors.

The premier further pointed out to Egypt's presidency of the African Union (AU) in 2019, adding that President Sisi is now attending the meetings of the AU summit in Addis Ababa.

Addressing the audience gathering for the newest edition of the Egypt Petroleum Show, Madboli reiterated that the economic reform file is a top priority for his government.

The Egypt Petroleum Show (EGYPS) brings together the Egyptian and North African government representatives, key project owners, NOCs and IOCs, international service providers, EPC contractors, consultants and financiers to address the evolving opportunities in the Egyptian and North African energy arena.

EGYPS 2019 provides the opportunity to gain insights into the upcoming oil and gas opportunities in Egypt and North Africa, from future licensing rounds, project requirements to short and long term strategic plans and priorities.
