CAIRO - 28 January 2019: While concluding the press conference with President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi, French President Emmanuel Macron announced that the official visit program has been changed for him to visit the New Administrative Capital.

Macron said that the new city creates an opportunity to boost Egyptian-French cooperate on infrastructure and culture among others. Both leaders headed to the Opera House and the Arts Complex in the new capital.

In the press conference, Macron said he knew of the cathedral and mosque that were built in the New Administrative Capital praising the Egyptian endeavors to promote tolerance.

President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi met with his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron on Monday at Ittihadiya Castle as part of the latter’s three-day state visit as they discussed bilateral relations, Syria, Libya, the Palestinian cause, and Africa.

Both presidents witnessed Egyptian ministers and French officials sign agreements and memoranda of understanding (MOUs) in Cairo as part of three-day state visit.
