CAIRO, Jan 27 (MENA) - Planning Minister Hala el Said and Immigration Minister Nabila Makram signed on Sunday a cooperation protocol to implement sustainable development goals, raise social awareness and secure jobs for youths.

In statements on the fringe of inking the protocol, the planning minister said the cooperation between the two ministries will serve the Sustainable Development Goal 8 on "Decent Work and Economic Growth."

Under the protocol, the two ministries will spread awareness about the dangers of illegal immigration and human trafficking in various governorates.

The protocol will also encourage the establishment of small and micro projects to raise people's standards of living and boost local economy.

She added that the ministries will encourage civil society and businessmen to support youths.

Makram said the ministry is keen on offering training sessions for youths to be able to join the labor market.
