During his participation in Davos World Economic Conference, Prime Minister and Minister of Housing Muftafa Madbouli and Minister of Tourism Rania al-Mashat met Wednesday with Huawei Group Chairman Yan Lida.
CAIRO – 23 January 2019: During his participation in Davos World Economic Conference, Prime Minister and Minister of Housing Muftafa Madbouli met Wednesday with Huawei Group Chairman Yan Lida.
The meeting was attended by the ministers of investment and tourism.
Lida explained the company’s plans to diversify its investment in Egypt by cooperating with Egyptian companies.
He pointed out that the company offered opportunities to Egyptian youth to get training and be recruited in the company.
For her side, Minister of Tourism Rania al-Mashat referred that the ministry signed a protocol with Huawei to put pictures of a number of prominent tourist destinations in Egypt as backgrounds available on mobile devices produced by the company to promote Egyptian tourism.
The prime minister called on the ministries to communicate with Huawei officials and discuss the executive steps of the proposed cooperation programs.
The Davos World Economic Forum is held in Switzerland from Jan. 22 - 25. Held annually, the Davos World Economic Forum is one of the most important international economic events in Switzerland.
The forum is attended every year by heads of governments, finance ministers, representatives of central banks and boards of major international institutions.
