11 ministers, 50 muftis to attend Islamic conf. in Cairo Jan. 19

CAIRO - 15 January 2019: Awqaf Minister Mohamed Mokhtar Gomaa said that 11 ministers and 50 muftis will be representing the religious institutions of their countries during a conference of the Supreme Council of Islamic Affairs that will be held here on January 19-20.

The conference, the 29th, will focus on building national characters with the aim to maintain the national identity, Gomaa said in press statements Tuesday.

He pointed to unprecedented international participation in the event.

More than 50 research papers on the role of national characters in building countries will be reviewed, the minister said.
