KUWAIT CITY - 8 January 2019: Patron of the Egyptian Coptic Orthodox Church in Kuwait Anba Bishoy Bigol said President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi restored national unity in Egypt and entrenched the citizenship principle in state institutions.

In statements to MENA correspondent in Kuwait on Tuesday, he said Sisi has been keen since taking the helm to ensure national unity and restore Egypt's position at regional and international levels.

He added that opening a cathedral and mosque in the New Administrative Capital in the same day sent a message of love and peace to the whole world.

He added that an address delivered by Pope Tawadros II of Alexandria and Patriarch of St. Mark Diocese at the mosque and an address delivered by Grand Imam of Azhar al Sharif Ahmed el Tayyeb at the cathedral stressed unity between Muslims and Christians in Egypt.
