CAIRO, 7 Jan 2019: Arab League Secretary General Ahmed Abul Gheit said that the inauguration of El Fattah El Aleem Mosque and the Nativity of Christ Cathedral in the New Administrative Capital at the same time will be etched in Egypt's history.

Expressing Christmas greetings to Pope Tawadros II of Alexandria and Patriarch of St. Mark Diocese, Abul Gheit said that this demonstrated to the whole world the Egyptians' unity.

Abul Gheit said he is keen on offering Christmas greetings to Pope Tawadros in real appreciation of his great religious and national role.

On Sunday, President Sisi inaugurated El Fattah El Aleem Mosque and the Nativity of Christ Cathedral, the biggest cathedral in the Middle East, in the New Administrative Capital.

The inauguration was attended by Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas and Al Azhar Grand Imam Ahmed el Tayyeb and Pope Tawadros and a number of ministers, ambassadors and Arab and foreign dignitaries.
