CAIRO – 31 May 2017: The mainstream peaceful conceptions of Islam have long been tarnished amid the rising wave of extremism across the world, leaving only few who can differentiate between moderate, true Muslims and radical Islamists.

Nowadays, major challenges are facing Muslims in the West as fundamentalists justify terrorist violence in the name of Islam. However, ill-founded claims attributed to Islam by terrorists stick in the minds of many people, who fail to grasp the distinction between true Muslims and extremists.

But here is one of the famous quotes that listed three main distinctions:

“A true Muslim is preoccupied by his faith, while an extremist is busy with other people’s beliefs. A true Muslim seeks routes which lead him and others to Heaven, while an extremist argues that others are doomed to Hell. A true Muslim finds excuses to forgive others, while an extremist finds fault in others in order to punish them.”
