Europeans to study in international universities in Egypt: Min.

CAIRO - 3 December 2018: Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Khaled Abdel Ghaffar said on Sunday that the development of the foreign students system comes in light of the improvement of the human resources and technology in the ministry.

This came during a press conference held on the sidelines of the opening of the Central Administration of Foreign Students Affairs' headquarters.

He pointed out that European and African countries represent important markets for Egyptian education, asserting that the future will witness many Europeans studying in international universities in Egypt.

Abdel Ghaffar also stressed that the international universities target Egyptian and international students and grantdouble certificates.

Furthermore, the minister pointed out that many exhibitions have been launched to market the programs of Egyptian universities.

The minister also revealedthat the development process will continue, especially after the progress witnessed in the Supreme Council of Universities' committees.

The ministry is looking to set a mechanism to maximize benefiting from the Egyptian cultural offices abroad to serve the Egyptian education,Abdel Ghaffar added.

The minister referred that the coming period will witness a comparison between the curricula of the Egyptian and international universities,applying the credit hours system in a larger number of Egyptian universities to attract more international students.
