CAIRO - 27 November 2018: "The warm reception of Saudi Crown Prince Mohamed bin Salman in Cairo reflects the Egyptian leadership's support to the kingdom against the ongoing media war that Riyadh has been facing recently," said Egyptian parliamentarian.

Soliman Wahdan, House of Representative's undersecretary, manifested that Egypt appreciates the Saudi support in difficult times, especially since the Jan. 2011 revolution.

"MBS's visit to Cairo is an important step to boost the strategic relations between the two countries," Wahdan said in a press statement Tuesday. He further stressed that the Riyadh-Cairo relationship is "unique".

Egypt and Saudi lead the Islamic world against Iranian and western plots which seek to divide the region, according to Wahdan's statement.

"Cairo-Riyadh's strong ties bring stability to the Arab region," he added.
The Saudi crown prince arrived in Cairo on Nov. 26 for a two-day visit. He is expected to hold bilateral talks with Egyptian President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi and discuss recent developments in the region.
