Saudi Arabia's Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman arrived in Egypt on Monday, the third leg of his first trip abroad since the murder of prominent Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi in Turkey last month.

CAIRO - 26 November 2018: The Saudi Ambassador to Cairo Osama Naqli asserted on Monday that the visit of Saudi Crown Prince Mohamed bin Salman to Egypt, the second in a year, reflects the depth and strength of relations between the two countries.



El Nakly added in a statement published on Saudi embassy's official Facebook account that Sisi’s era witnessed a huge boost in cooperation between Egypt and KSA, a boost expected to include more regional topics in the future.

"The Saudi-Egyptian relations witnessed an unprecedented boom during the reign of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi in all political, economic, and cultural fields," the Saudi ambassador said, adding that this visit will boost the relations.

Sisi received on Monday Bin Salman upon arrival at Cairo International Airport. The Saudi crown prince is paying a two-day visit to Egypt as part of his Arab tour.

He is planned to hold talks with President Sisi on ways to boost bilateral relations as with as political issues of common concern in light of the strategic partnership binding the two countries.
