CAIRO – 18 November 2018: Ministry of Endowments launched an initiative to combat extremism and terrorism in Europe where hardliners are increasing.

The Endowments Ministry will inaugurate soon an international academy for training clerics in foreign languages. These clerics will widen the ministry’s influence across the world.

Mokhtar Gomaa, endowments minister, paid several visits to European countries where he gave speeches about coexistence and tolerance.

The ministry invited 70 foreign countries to attend in a few weeks a global conference under the slogan “Building a National Character and Influence in Developing Countries”.
The 29th Conference for the Endowments Ministry will take place on Jan. 19-20, 2019.

European Islamic institutions from France, Switzerland, Germany, Italy, the Americas, Brazil, Greece and Russia will participate.

In a related context, Court of Cassation previously upheld death penalties against 20 defendants and life sentences against 80 defendants over charges of breaking into Kerdasa Prison and killing 14 policemen including the police sheriff.

The court session was headed by Counselor Mamdouh Youssef, Mohamed Hassanein, Mohamed Hassan, Essa Abbas, Yehia Mansour, Ayman al-Sawy, Magdy Shabana, Mahmoud Akef, Refaat Sanad and Al-Sayed Helal.
