Death toll among Egyptian pilgrims on Hajj reaches 45

CAIRO – 25 August 2018: Two more Egyptian pilgrims died in Saudi Arabia, rendering total deaths there to 45, the Egyptian Health Ministry said in a Saturday statement.

According to the statement, the minister’s spokesman Khaled Megahed said that the new deaths are from the governorates of Assuit and Gharbia, and their ages range between 59 to 66.

The spokesman also added that they suffered circulatory and respiratory collapse while performing Hajj rituals.

Recently, the Egyptian government announced that the Egyptian Medical Missions Emergency Room is coordinating with the authority concerned to issue death certificates for them.
