Shoukry receives phone call from Jordanian counterpart

CAIRO - 23 August 2018: Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry received a phone call on Thursday from Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman el Safadi, Spokesman of Foreign Ministry Ahmed Abu Zeid said.

In the call, Safadi apprised Shoukry of his recent visit to the US and his meetings with US officials to discuss means of pushing the peace process forward and encouraging the Palestinians and the Israelis to resume talks.

The call also tackled the current situation of UNRWA and means of coordination between Egypt and Jordan to provide the support needed for the agency to fulfill its role in helping the refugees.
