CAIRO - 17 May 2017: Education Minister Tarek Shawky rejected the demand of international schools to increase their tuitions by 20 percent, in order not to be overly priced for parents, source from the Education Ministry told Egypt Today.

The minister agreed to increase tuition fees from 7-15 percent, based on the decision of a committee of experts, who will evaluate international schools according to the quality of education and activities.

The Ministry of Education informed the management of international schools that tuition fees should not be collected in foreign currency,” the source said, adding that schools are now obligated to announce the fees amount through their website.
