WASHINGTON - 2 June 2018: The US-led international coalition carried out 225 air raids in Iraq and Syria in May compared to 183 air strikes in April, according to the Combined Joint Task Force on Saturday.

In Iraq, the coalition fighter jets launched air raids near Baghdad and Kirkuk while in Syria it targeted IS positions in Bukamal city in Deir ez-Zor province.

It stressed that operations are going on to drive IS militants out of Iraq and Syria.
