Cuban Boeing 737 crashes after taking off from Havana airport

HAVANA - 18 May 2018: A Boeing 737 plane carrying 107 passengers crashed on Friday shortly after taking off from Havana's main airport.

The Cubana de Aviacion flight crashed near the Jose Marti International Airport at about 12.30pm local time.

Cuba state-run television said the flight was heading to Guyana, adding that it was not yet known if there were any casualties.
