CAIRO - 18 May 2018: Minister of State for Migration and Egyptian Expatriates Affairs Nabila Makram stressed the importance of the role carried out by civil society organisations such as Misr El Kheir Foundation in supporting social solidarity.

In press statements, Makram underlined the government's keenness to bridge between Egyptian expatriates and their country and NGOs.

She explained that her participation in Suhoor (pre-sunrise meal) banquet in the framework of "Ftarna Maa Ahalena" (Our breakfast with our family) initiative organised by the ministry in cooperation with Misr El Kheir Foundation was positive. She added that this also comes in line with underlining Egyptian expatriates' sense of patriotism.

The minister pointed out that she and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Misr El Kheir Foundation Ali Gomaa had signed a cooperation protocol in the presence of a number of MPs and representatives of Egyptian expatriates to offer Iftar (post-sunset meal) and distribute meals for the needy people.
