CAIRO – 8 May 2018: The Egyptian Meteorological Authority issued that strong gusty winds are expected to hit the country for two days, starting from Thursday, amid a gradual rise in temperatures.

Chairman of the Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) Ahmed Abdel Aal attributed the predicated squall to the annual sandstorm of Kamaseen (Fifty) which is coming from the Sahara Desert in North Africa.

Abdel Aal also confirmed that the extreme hot weather will ease off, as temperatures will start to gradually decrease again on Saturday.

Strong waves of the spring unsettled weather conditions have prevailed over the last three weeks caused by the Khamasin sandstorm and temperature fluctuations.
