CAIRO – 9 March 2018: The presidential candidate Moussa Mostafa Moussa said on Friday that the “Country” concept has never been understood by the previous rulers of Egypt, that is why they focused on roles that lay far from their authentic mission, according to statement issued from his official campaign.

Although the private sector has a vital role in presenting medical services as the state is incapable of providing medical services to all citizens, its role has to be limited to providing the service without determining the price of it, Moussa explained.

“The country’s government is not allowed also to withdraw from the educational area, leaving it all to private sector,” Moussa said, adding that the private sector should be banned from dealing with students in finance issues, otherwise, the state should be the only authority that set the prices of educational services; the state should observe and follow the quality of these services.

Likewise, Moussa stated that it is not justified that the country withdrew completely from the employment sector under the pretext of Market freedom. The country should encourage and extend investments. It should play the mediator role between the employees and the private companies.

Moussa announced his intention to run after all other potential candidates bowed out, except for former Military Chief of Staff Samy Anan, who was kept out of the race by the armed forces, which released a statement regarding his disqualification. Moussa submitted his documents to the National Election Authority (NEA) hours before closing the candidacy door.

Moussa has stressed his respect and support for President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi in every chance, saying that he appreciates what he has presented to the nation during his first term in office.
