CAIRO - 4 March 2018: President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi received a telephone call from his U.S. counterpart Donald Trump to discuss bilateral relations on Sunday.

Spokesman for the presidency Bassam Rady said both sides discussed ways of boosting the strategic relations between the two countries.

He underscored that both presidents agreed to continue enhancing the cooperation between both countries in all fields during the coming period.

During the telephone call, the two leaders also discussed the latest developments in a number of regional issues in order to reach a political settlement for them, Rady explained.

He added that Sisi briefed Trump on the Egyptian efforts to combat terrorism, as Trump commended Egypt's efforts in this issue and stressed Washington's support for Egypt in the fight against terrorism.

This comes while

President Sisi welcome Saudi Crown Prince Mohamed bin Salman in Cairo

to discuss number of bilateral relations.

Bin Salman’s three-day visit to Egypt will be followed by a European tour to London where he will meet with Prime Minister Theresa May on March 7, prior to his visit to the United States on March 19 to meet with U.S. President Donald Trump.
