New universities in Egypt to cooperate with world’s best universities

CAIRO - 2 March 2018: President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi confirmed that all to-be-launched universities in Egypt will be offered joint programs with any of the 50 best universities in the world.

This came during the inauguration of the first phase of the New Alamein City on Thursday in Matrouh Governorate.

Sisi further emphasized that Egypt is currently establishing universities distinguished in content and shape from other currently established universities.

El Alamein City will include a national university, comprising of a number of applied science faculties, an opera house, a library and a museum.

Sisi inaugurated Thursday the first phase of the New Alamein City. The first phase of New Alamein will include an eco-city. New Alamein City will also include a national university comprising of a number of applied science faculties, an opera house, a library and a museum.

The city is located on an area of 48,000 feddans (49,824 acres) and is expected to be inhabited by more than 400,000 citizens.
