Syndicate of Scientific Professions supports Sisi for 2nd term

CAIRO – 28 February 2018: Syndicate of Scientific Professions will hold a press conference in the governorate of Dakahlia on Saturday to support President Abdel Fatah al Sisi in the March vote.

The conference will see the attendance of representatives of political parties and presidents of the sports clubs in the governorate as well as people from different segments of society.

Three days ago, the Egypt Trade Union Federation held a massive press conference to announce the federations’ full support to Sisi, and to drive the workers to cast their votes in favor of the incumbent president.

The Egyptian National Election Authority (NEA) has approved dozens of NGOs to observe the upcoming presidential election due to take place in late March, including the National Council of Human Rights and the National Women’s Council.

Mahmoud Lasheen, NEA’s official spokesperson, told Egypt Today that 53 local civic organizations and nine international and Arab organizations have been accredited to observe the 2018 presidential election in which two presidential candidates have been officially announced for the presidential bid.

According to the election’s timetable issued by the NEA on January 8, voting in the 2018 presidential election in Egypt will commence on March 26.
