Egypt sees hot weather Saturday; temp. to decline at night

CAIRO – 10 February 2018: The Egyptian Meteorological Authority expects a wave of hot weather on Saturday in both the Northern part of the country and Upper Egypt, with partial decrease in the temperatures during night.

Moderate south-western winds accompanied by dust and sand will blow over most of the country and low clouds will appear on the northern coasts.

As for the Mediterranean, the sea is moderate to turbulent, with a wavelength of two to 2.5 meters. Surface winds are southeasterly.

For the Red Sea, waves are mild to moderate, with wavelengths of one to 1.5 meters and southeasterly surface winds.

Temperature grades in some governorates are (in degrees centigrade); Cairo (32 day, 16 night), Alexandria, (26 day, 16 night), Sharm el-Sheihk (30 day, 18 night), Hurghada (31 day, 17 night), Assyout (34 day, 14 night).

On the other side, the Egyptian Meteorological Authority expects a significant decline in temperature on Sunday; Moderate weather on the Northern coasts, warm in Cairo and in the North of Upper Egypt, although it will remain very hot in the south of Upper Egypt, with temperatures at night dropping.
