CAIRO- 23 April 2017: “Ask the President,” a new digital application, was launched by the Egyptian government Saturday, allowing citizens to direct their inquiries and opinions to President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi.

The application is available on the website of the National Youth Conference (NYC). All users can register using their Facebook or Twitter account and their email.

The conference administration is in charge of gathering the questions; and the president is expected to respond to some of the inquiries himself, during the conference from April 25 to 27, according to the official Facebook page.

The initiative has gathered hundreds of responses since its announcement on social media, some asking for the president’s response to national issues, such as the soaring prices, terrorism, scientific research and education, and others complaining about personal suffering due to lack of housing or jobs and asking Sisi for a solution.

The application was launched on Saturday April 22, and it is available at:

The third round of the National Youth Conference will be held in Ismailia, gathering over a thousand youths from different governorates, along with a number of ministers, parliament members and public figures.
