250,000 signed forms backing presidential hopefuls till mid-day

CAIRO - 14 January 2018: The National Elections Authority said Sunday that the offices of the Public Notary have issued 250,000 recommendation forms backing presidential hopefuls till mid-day.

In a press release, NEA spokesman Mahmoud el Sherif said the authority coordinated with the Justice Ministry to regulate the issuing of the recommendation forms that started on Tuesday.

The NEA received requests from 15 NGOs to follow up the electoral process, Sherif said, noting that the relevant requirements were being looked at.
