ADEN - 18 December 2017: The Yemeni army managed to liberate new five outposts from Houthi militias in Assilan directorate in Shabwah governorate, Yemeni sources were quoted by Yemeni news agency as saying on Sunday.

Meanwhile, the Yemeni army announced that it arrested 80 Houthi militants during the clashes in the last two days in Assilan and Bihan directorates, which are the remaining Houthi hotbeds in Shabwah.

The army's control over the two directorates will completely cut the supplies to Houthis from the southern side, Yemeni army spokesman Abdo Majali was quoted by Al Arabiya Al Hadath news channel in a statement.

Earlier, Yemeni sources said 159 Houthi militants were killed over the past 24 hours in different districts of the country.
