CAIRO – 2 December 2017: On Saturday, Minister of Endowments, Mohamed Mokhtar, inaugurates the first training camp of scholars and preachers in Hurgada.

The Ministry of Endowments previously announced that training camps for preachers are conducted periodically with the aim of spreading awareness about true Islam.

50 preachers from different governorates are expected to participate in several cultural activities and are scheduled to visit the various tourist sites of the Red Sea City.

Recently, the Minister of Religious Endowments, Shawky Allam, and Egypt’s Grand Mufti, Ahmed al-Tayyeb, performed Friday prayers in the Al-Rawdah Mosque, where one of Egypt’s deadliest terrorist attacks took place last week, killing at least 311 and injuring dozens.

President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi has consistently reiterated in his speeches the significance of rectifying religious discourse, following a spate of deadly terrorist attacks that has been hitting Egypt during the past few years.
