HURGHADA, Egypt – 29 November 2017:The Interpol and the countries participating in its meeting on countering cross-border terrorism voiced solidarity with Egypt in its war against terrorism, especially that it has achieved distinctive success in combating it and foiling its plots against the country.

The move came as part of the closing session of the three-day gathering that was co-organized by the Interpol and the Ministry of Interior in the Red Sea resort city of Hurghada.

Participants in the meeting recommended drawing up a framework for exchanging information among the security bodies concerned in North Africa and the Middle East in order to combat the foreign fighters’ movement across borders as well as to stand up to terrorist organizations and dismantle their cells.

The meeting also touched on means of boosting the capabilities of combating terrorism in the Middle East and North Africa, the relation between human trafficking and terrorism in addition to ways to dry up the terrorist groups’ funding resources.
