CAIRO – 25 November 2017: British Embassy headquarters lowered its flag half-mast in mourning of the victims of the terrorist attack that targeted the worshippers in Al-Arish’s Rawdah Mosque and its vicinity early Friday.

In a Facebook statement, the British Embassy comprised the condemnation of British Kingdom’s top officials and leaders, who expressed their unremitting support of Egypt and its people in the face of terrorism and their wishes for the injured a swift recovery.

The British Prime Minister Theresa May denounced the “outrageous” attack saying that targeting innocent prayers is horrific and cowardly. “We are all against violence and terror anywhere.”

On Friday, A group of 15 armed terrorists broke into Al-Rawdah Mosque in Al-Arish City, leaving at least 235 dead and 125 injured.

According to eye witnesses, the terrorists came out initially riding two all-terrain vehicles, which they ditched 150 meters away from the crime scene. They detonated a bomb outside the mosque, and then opened fire at panicked Friday prayers.
