PARIS - 13 November 2017: Egypt's Consul General in Paris Serenad Gamil on Monday attended a ceremony marking the second anniversary of 'Paris attacks of November 13' that had left more than 130 victims including an Egyptian citizen, Salah el Gebaly.

In a statement to MENA, Gamil said that all measures have been taken by the consulate in coordination with Paris municipality to enable the family of the Egyptian el Gebaly to attend the memorial ceremony held in the presence of French President Emmanuel Macron at the Bataclan theater where the deadly attack that killed 90 people took place.

Gamil extended deep condolences to the victims of terrorism in France and Egypt, stressing the insistence of Cairo and Paris on combating and uprooting terrorism.

Macron placed a wreath of flowers at the commemorative plaque, that includes the names of the victims, before observing a minute of silence to honor them.

A number of French senior officials along with families of the victims attended the memorial ceremony at various sites that had witnessed simultaneous terrorist attacks on Nov 13, 2015 that are considered the deadliest in France's history.
