TUNIS – 8 November 2017: National Unity Government Prime Minister Yossef Al Chahed discussed on Wednesday with President of Malta Marie Louise issues of common interest and means of fostering relations, notably the economic and social fields.

The meeting tackled ways of beefing up relations binding the two countries and the keenness of both sides on developing the diplomatic, political and economic relations in a way that serves the common interest and the Mediterranean region,
Louise said in statements after the meeting, which was held at the headquarter of the Tunisian government.

On Tuesday, Tunisia and Malta signed two partnership agreements in the fields of education, vocational training and tourism promotion on the sidelines of Louise's official visit to Tunisia on the occasion of the fiftieth anniversary of establishing the diplomatic relations between the two countries.
