SHARM EL SHEIKH – 6 November 2017: President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi asserted on Monday that Egypt will continue exerting efforts to resume negotiations between Palestinians and Israel in order to reach a just and overall solution.

This came during the president’s meeting with his Palestinian counterpart Mahmoud Abbas on the sidelines of the World Youth Forum, currently taking place in Sharm el Sheikh, Presidency Spokesman Bassam Rady said.

The president added that the solution include Palestinians’ right to establish an independent state with al Quds as its capital. This solution will contribute to regaining security and stability in the Middle East and enhancing the climate needed to reach economic development to fulfill the peoples’ aspirations.

Meanwhile, Abbas asserted his keenness on holding talks with Sisi. He also hailed Egypt’s efforts to reach reconciliation between the Palestinian factions.
