CAIRO – 29 October 2017: Anwar Gargash, UAE State Minister for Foreign Affairs, said that Qatar’s attack on Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates through western media would not help them.

Describing Qatari regime as the “confused brother,” Gargash wrote on Twitter that decreased international concern about Qatar’s crisis worries the regime.

Commenting on Qatar’s use of the media, Gargash wrote: “thinking that more media would resolve the crisis is a wrong assumption. As if Qatar had spent 120 minutes of betrayal in the past, then 60 minutes of complaints and denial.”

“The sovereignty Qatar has built its complaint on is a punctured and sunk ship. It’s time for a true self-review that would save the ‘confused brother,’” wrote Gargash.

Since June 5, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and the UAE have turned on Qatar with a complete air and trade boycott over allegations of its support and sponsorship of terrorism.
