Abul Gheit: 6th of October victory, June 30 saved Egypt's future

CAIRO - 9 October 2017: Arab League Secretary General Ahmed Abul Gheit asserted that the 6th of October war victory and June 30 are remarkable days in Egypt's history as they saved Egypt's future.

Abul Gheit's remarks were made at a symposium organized by the Armed Forces Morale Affairs at the 5th Settlement International Conference Center in the presence of President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi.

He offered greetings to the Armed Forces on the occasion of the 44th Anniversary of the October war victory.

He pointed out to the contributions of the Arab countries at the time of October war including 16 Iraqi planes, 100 Mirage-5 planes from Libya, adding that the Egyptian fighters had received training on such planes in France.

He praised the Arabs' unity in order to help Egypt achieve such victory to overcome the defeat of the 1967 war during which Israel occupied the Sinai peninsula
