CAIRO – 6 October 2017: Director of the Russian Federal Security Service Alexander Bortnikov has announced that several terrorist attacks have been foiled inside his country due to cooperation with several foreign partners’ governments, including Egypt.

He added in statements Friday that Moscow’s government is cooperating with the Egyptian intelligence, along with other governments, including Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, China, India, South Korea, the Czech Republic, Austria and Serbia
Bortnikov affirmed that several terrorist attacks were foiled due to the cooperation with these governments and their respective intelligence organizations.

Furthermore, Bortnikov expressed his gratitude to his country’s security partners, especially those who helped ensuring the safety of the 2016 World Hockey Championships in Russia and the Confederations Cup in 2017.
