RAMALLAH - 28 September 2017: Clashes erupted on Thursday between Palestinian citizens and Israeli occupation forces near Al-Quds University.

The Palestinian youth hurled stones at the Israeli troops, who, in return, fired rubber bullets and toxic gas bombs at the youth, according to eyewitnesses.

Meanwhile, the Israeli troops continued to seal off the northwestern area of al Quds city for the third day in a row as part of a retaliatory campaign launched by Israel.

Eyewitnesses said Palestinian families at 16 villages were ordered by Israeli troops to stay at home, otherwise they would be shot dead.

This blockade led to the closure of about 50 schools in the area.
