BERLIN– 23 September 2017: Chairman of the board of trustees of the German University in Cairo Ashraf Mansour said on Saturday that Egypt is the gateway to Africa and the Arab world.

The German University in Cairo (GUC) serves German and Egyptian industries. Egypt is a breeding ground for German investments as its market need all kinds of supplies including, washing machines and electrical equipment in addition to the stability it enjoys, Mansour noted.

During his meeting with the director of DMG MORI Africa, an offshoot of Germany's leading international DMG MORI company, Mansour pointed out that Egypt is the closest country to Europe and is technologically advanced.

Egypt is comprising the GUC and carried out bold steps regarding the investment and succeeded in the liberalization of the exchange rate, Mansour expounded.

Mansour lauded the suitability of several areas in Egypt that are available for investment including the new administrative capital and the Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZone).
