Damietta Port receives 5 vessels over past 24 hours

DAMIETTA, Egypt - 22 Sep 2017: Damietta Port received over the past 24 hours two container ships and three cargo vessels, the Damietta Port Authority said in a statement on Friday.

Two container vessels and five cargo ships have left the harbor.

Up to 19 vessels docked at the anchorage area waiting for their entry procedures to be completed, the statement added.

Also, two trains loaded with 2,986 tons of wheat and 93 vehicles carrying 4,680 tons of wheat left the port, the statement read.

The port's grain silo is currently containing 169,136 tons of wheat along with 53,203 tons at the private sector's stores, according to the statement.
