CAIRO - 22 September 2017: Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry met Thursday with his Moroccan counterpart Nasser Bourita, on the sidelines of the 72nd session of the United Nations General Assembly.

The relations between the two countries and ways to promote them were discussed in the meeting, Foreign Ministry spokesman Ahmed Abu Zeid said.

During the meeting, the top Egyptian diplomat hailed as profound and distinguished the two countries' relations.

Bourita, for his part, praised the relations between Cairo and Rabat, pointing out his country is looking forward to promoting the relations in various fields.

The latest developments in the region, mainly the situation in Syria, Yemen and Libya were tackled in the meeting, the spokesman noted.
