ASTANA - 15 September 2017: Director of Asia and Africa Department of the Kazakh Ministry of Foreign Affairs Aidarbek Toumatov said participants in the Syrian peace talks in Astana are discussing the probability of endorsing documents on the four de-escalation zones in Syria.

Asked about who will monitor the de-escalation zone in Idlib, Toumatov said the conferees in the Astana talks are probing the identity of the parties to be responsible for observing the situation in the fourth de-escalation zone, RT channel reported.

The two-day sixth Astana talks on Syria started Thursday in the Kazakh capital, two months after the fifth round of the talks was held on July 4-5.
