MOSCOW - 8 September 2017: About 40 Daesh militants, including four leaders, were killed in a Russian air strike near Deir Ezzor city in Syria, Sputnik news agency quoted the Russian Defense Ministry as saying on Friday.

The terrorist leaders were holding a meeting near Deir Ezzor, the Russian Ministry of Defense said in a statement.

The ministry said that on September 5, information was received about a meeting of leaders of terrorist groups at one of the disguised Daesh posts in the vicinity of Deir Ezzor.
