CAIRO – 6 September 2017: Vietnam's President Tran Dai Quang said Wednesday, that Egypt has played a role throughout history in spreading peace among nations.

Commenting on Egyptian President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi’s visit to Vietnam, Quang described it as historic for the relations of both countries.

Quang said that Egypt-Vietnam relations witnessed great development during the past years. “Ties with Egypt in various fields are based on love, pride and respect,” Quang said.

During a banquet held in his honor, Sisi affirmed Egypt’s desire to strengthen mutual relations, within the framework of a true partnership that achieves mutual benefits.

Both countries’ keen mutual interest in cooperation is a good base to beef up political, cultural, economic and trade ties, Sisi said.

Sisi praised Vietnam for its successful strategy to achieve progress and industrial development, considering it evidence of strong will and efficient work.

For the second time, Sisi invited Quang to visit Egypt. More visits should be made at all levels, to meet the expectations of people of the two countries, Sisi added.
