Daesh leader arrested in northern Baghdad

BAGHDAD - 28 Aug 2017: Iraqi forces arrested a man in charge of assassinations inside Daesh militant group in northern Baghdad, said Baghdad Operations Command on Monday.

The arrest was based on a tip-off, the command said.

Iraqi forces are in the process of liberating their territories from Daesh militants who took advantage of the security vacuum that followed the topple of Saddem Hussein and seized large swaths of Iraqi lands.
